The birth of Soy Negra LLC started long before coming into fruition February 2019. As a first generation American born of Afro-Latino descent, my parents emigrated from Honduras for the American dream. I was raised to dream big but practical. I was raised to study hard and pick a career that would afford me a comfortable and secure life. Well, I did all of the above. I studied hard, received a Baccalaureate degree, a mountain of student loan debt, a husband and two beautiful kids to boot. Bought a house and worked for strong financial institutions; all to still feel dissatisfied.
 

I started on a journey to find myself and my purpose. It led me on a natural and holistic path. I made what my kids would call lotions and potions, for fun at first... but then it evolved into so much more. I grew eager to learn more. Not only about what I was putting in my body but what I was putting on my body. As I learned more about self-care and healing, I started to ask myself the following questions: 

 • Who am I?
• What do I have to offer?
• Who can benefit?
My answers were simple:
• Soy Negra (I am black) de desendencia Garifuna (Garifuna descendent)
• Natural bath and body products infused with CBD Isolate
• Everyone! Children, women, men and the elderly. From any and every ethnicity and walk of life.
 

You see; I want to serve the ignored and the forgotten. It sounds dramatic but that’s how passionate I feel. I want the everyday mom to take her weekly bubble bath and drop a CBD infused bath soak  or bath bomb into her tub and let her troubles melt away, even if only for a moment. I want the beautiful young lady that just had her hair braided and feels like her edges have been snatched by the devil to have some relief by rubbing her scalp with my natural scalp balm infused with CBD so she can sleep without feeling her scalp is being attacked by the pillow. I want the tense and sore man who just had a long day at work to get that magical massage with my CBD infused massage oils. What I want most is for my consumers to feel relief is within reach.
